Prof.Elijah I. Omwenga

Professor Elijah I. Omwenga is the Vice-Chancellor of the Open University of Kenya and serves as Secretary to the Governing Council. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (Information Systems) from the University of Nairobi, an MSc in Computer Science from the National University of Science and Technology (Bulawayo), and a B.Ed. (Science) from Kenyatta University. He is a distinguished scholar with over 70 scholarly publications, and an academic leader committed to expanding access to quality higher education across Africa through innovative digital learning. He has championed the integration of cutting-edge digital tools into OUK's academic programmes and oversees the implementation of Council decisions.
