Entry requirements
- Upper second class honours or a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00.
- Lower second class honours or a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.50 on a scale of 4.00 with additional relevant training, evidence of research capability either through research, paper presentations or peer reviewed publications, and relevant working experience.
- A relevant postgraduate diploma.
- Candidates with the equivalent qualifications as approved by the Senate may be considered.

Programme structure
The Master of Commerce and Business Administration (MCA) programme runs over two academic years, each comprising two semesters, for a total of four semesters. This programme is online and interactive; each course is delivered over a 15-week semester using synchronous and asynchronous tools including, but not restricted to, the OUK virtual learning environment (Learning Management System and web-conferencing systems). A typical course comprises 1 asynchronous online lecture, 2 synchronous tutorial/group work sessions and 3 self-directed learning hours per week for 13 weeks, plus 6 hours reserved for examinations, totalling 84 instructional hours.
Assessment methods
The MCA programme is designed to address learner assessment that considers multiple criteria to ensure the validity, reliability, fairness, and accuracy of tests, with assessment goals aligned to the program's learning outcomes.
Strategies such as proctoring, plagiarism checkers, and secure testing environments are implemented to ensure academic integrity.
Formative assessment methods such as quizzes, online discussions, and peer feedback help learners monitor progress, while summative assessments such as exams and projects evaluate the overall learning outcomes of the program.
Practical activities within each course and the research project are assessed using observation, supervisor feedback, and written reflections, alongside authentic assessment methods such as case studies, simulations, group assignments, and project-based assessments.
Course-level assessment is Continuous Assessments Tests 50% and End of Semester Examination 50%.
Grading: 75-100 (A, Distinction); 65-74 (B, Credit); 50-64 (C, Pass); below 50 (D, Fail).
The pass mark for all courses is 50%.
