Programme structure
The programme spans over two academic years, divided into four academic semesters, for a total of four (4) semesters. The minimum total course credits required for graduation are 64 credit hours equivalent to approximately 960 instructional hours. The programme integrates theoretical coursework, applied policy analysis and a supervised research dissertation.
Semester 1 covers advanced microeconomics, advanced macroeconomics, econometrics and research methodology. Semester 2 advances into development economics, monetary and fiscal policy, international economics and quantitative methods for policy analysis. Semester 3 focuses on specialised electives such as environmental economics, labour economics, health economics and financial econometrics. Semester 4 is devoted to the research dissertation under the supervision of an assigned academic advisor.
