OUK Advances Strategic Governance in Partnership with the Commonwealth of Learning
The Open University of Kenya (OUK), in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), held a policy development workshop from 3rd to 5th December 2025. Facilitated by COL Consultant Prof. Paul Prinsloo, the workshop brought together academic, administrative, and management staff to strengthen the University’s policy framework.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Prof. Carolyne Omulando, and the Ag. Registrar (Academic Affairs), Dr. Catherine Kagucia, delivered opening remarks, highlighting the strategic importance of the policies to OUK’s growth and operations. The workshop focused on developing four key institutional policies: the Library and Information Services Policy, the Intellectual Property Rights Policy, the Collaboration, Partnerships and Linkages Policy, and the TVET Integration and Articulation Policy.
This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening institutional governance and advancing OUK’s mission. The University expresses its appreciation to the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) for its invaluable support in facilitating the process.
