Liberty Kenya Signs MOU with Open University of Kenya on Pension Services
Liberty Kenya has entered into a landmark partnership with the Open University of Kenya (OUK) to provide umbrella pension services to the institution’s staff.
The partnership is particularly significant as OUK is Kenya’s first fully virtual university, offering flexible online learning to learners across the globe from its base at Konza Technopolis.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Liberty Life Managing Director and Principal Officer, Nkoregamba Mwebesa, alongside OUK Vice Chancellor, Prof. Elijah Omwenga, and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Christopher K. Chepken, during a ceremony held today at the University.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Omwenga underscored the importance of securing the financial future of OUK’s youthful workforce, noting the need for a grounded fund manager to ensure stability and long-term benefits.
On his part, Mr. Mwebesa said the partnership extends beyond pension services to include financial literacy training for OUK staff, reflecting Liberty Kenya’s commitment to holistic financial wellness.
