- Carrying out market survey and research;
- Carrying out disposal of stores and equipment in accordance to the laid down regulations and procedures;
- Coordinating the identification of unserviceable, obsolete and surplus stores and equipment for disposal;
- Providing secretariat services to the Disposal Committee;
- Coordinating periodic stock control;
- Consolidating periodic stores returns;
- Maintaining an up-to-date database of the University’s assets;
- Authorizing issuance of stores;
- Coordinating preparation and management of inventory control register;
- Implementing inventory and assets management techniques and approaches;
- Implementing asset management systems;
- Maintaining assets register, transfer and valuation;
- Complying with Procurement Regulation;
- Preparing periodic and annual supply chain management reports and returns;
- Participating in quality management and performance contracting processes; and
- Supervising assigned staff.

Required Qualifications and Competencies
For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:
- Six (6) years’ relevant cumulative work experience, three (3) of which that should have been at the grade of Procurement Assistant I or in a comparable position;
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Procurement, Procurement and Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution;
- Higher Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Procurement, Procurement and Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution will be an added advantage;
- Registered with relevant professional bodies; and
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
