Entry requirements
- A candidate must satisfy the general University admission criteria for undergraduate programmes.
- A mean grade of C+ and above at KCSE. In addition, a candidate must have a minimum grade of C+ or its equivalent in the relevant subjects.
- Diplomas or professional qualifications. A holder of a diploma or professional qualification should be in the areas of Interactive Media Technologies or their equivalents.
- General university minimum entrance requirements: a mean grade of C+ and above at KCSE where applicable or its equivalent using a criteria that the senate may determine; OR Diplomas or professional qualifications from an institution recognised by Senate; OR KCSE certificate or equivalent and a certificate of foundation or bridging courses from an institution recognised by Senate; OR Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education with a minimum of 1 principal and subsidiary passes; OR Evidence of KCSE certificate or equivalent and a portfolio for purposes of recognition of prior learning determination (workplace training of 2 years, or work experience in a relevant field of 2 years, or two short courses lasting at least 3 months each in relevant fields); OR any other qualifications that may be determined by Senate recognising prior learning leading to equivalents of the identified criteria, experience and skills of learners; OR a Bachelor's degree from an institution recognised by the Senate.

Programme structure
The Bachelor of Science in Interactive Media Technologies is a four-year degree programme structured to progressively deepen students' expertise in the field. The programme shall be offered in 8 semesters. The first year lays the foundation with introductory courses in interactive media, complemented by essential university common courses such as IT Entrepreneurship. In the second year, students tackle intermediate concepts, further developing their skills in more complex media tools and theories. The curriculum advances in the third year with a focus on sophisticated techniques in areas like interactive software development and user experience design. The final year is dedicated to specialisation, allowing students to focus on niche areas such as virtual reality, game design, or multimedia art, culminating in capstone projects that integrate their accumulated knowledge in a practical, professional context. The programme also requires an internship, preparing students for successful careers in the dynamic field of interactive media technologies.
Assessment methods
The course will be assessed through:
- content embedded quizzes
- end of course online examination. The project will be assessed through e-portfolios; students will orally present their research projects to an evaluation panel for assessment purposes. All students' work will be checked for plagiarism before the work is submitted for final grading. The complete assessment of a taught unit shall consist of coursework
