Programme structure
The programme shall take a minimum of two (2) calendar years, organised into six (6) trimesters of fifteen (15) weeks each. The minimum total course units for the programme are 24, comprising taught nursing courses, clinical placement units and a research project, equivalent to approximately 96 credit hours and 1,440 instructional hours.
Trimester 1 covers advanced anatomy and physiology, evidence-based nursing practice and research methodology. Trimesters 2 and 3 advance clinical nursing knowledge in community health, midwifery, medical-surgical nursing and mental health. Trimesters 4 and 5 focus on nursing leadership, health systems management, clinical supervision and supervised clinical placement. Trimester 6 is devoted to the final nursing research project and practicum.
The programme is offered online with mandatory clinical placement hours conducted at approved healthcare facilities under supervised practice.
Assessment methods
Assessment is conducted through a blend of continuous academic tasks and formal summative examinations.
