Smart Economics for Parliamentarians
The course Smart Economics for Parliamentarians is designed to equip parliamentarians with practical economic knowledge and analytical tools to strengthen legislative decision-making, budget scrutiny, and policy oversight. It bridges economic theory and real-world application, demonstrating how economic principles shape parliamentary debates, public finance decisions, and constituency-level outcomes.
The course enables participants to interpret economic information confidently, assess the fiscal and social implications of legislation, and engage effectively with budgets, policies, and development programmes to promote sustainable and inclusive economic governance.
By the end of the 6 weeks, participants will be able to:
