A candidate must satisfy the general University admission criteria for Masters Programmes:
- A Bachelors degree in a relevant area of study with at least an Upper Second-Class Honors or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Open University of Kenya Senate.
- A Bachelors degree with at least a Lower Second Class Honors or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Senate plus two years relevant work experience.
- A Bachelors degree with at least a Pass degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Senate plus two years relevant work experience.
- A Bachelor's degree with at least a Pass or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Open University of Kenya Senate, and a relevant Postgraduate Diploma from Open University of Kenya or an institution recognized by Open University of Kenya Senate.
