Mahitaji ya kujiunga
- A candidate must satisfy the general University admission criteria for undergraduate programmes.
- A mean grade of C+ and above at KCSE where applicable or its equivalent. In addition, a candidate must have a minimum grade of C+ or its equivalent in the following subjects: Mathematics or Business Studies or Physics or Chemistry or Biology and a language.
- Diplomas or professional qualifications from an institution recognised by Senate, in the areas of Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or their equivalents.
- KCSE certificate or equivalent and a certificate of foundation or bridging courses from an institution recognised by Senate.
- Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with a minimum of 1 principal and subsidiary passes.
- Evidence of KCSE certificate or equivalent and a portfolio for purposes of recognition of prior learning determination with respect to: workplace training of 2 years, work experience in a relevant field of 2 years, or two short courses lasting at least 3 months each in relevant fields.
- A Bachelor's degree from an institution recognised by the Senate.
- Any other qualifications that may be determined by Senate recognising Prior Learning leading to equivalents of the identified criteria, experience and skills of learners.

Muundo wa programu
The programme shall be offered in 8 semesters and at least 8 weeks of industrial attachment after semester 6 (Year 3 Semester 2), comprising four academic years. The minimum total courses for the programme are 41. The minimum total credit hours and course instructional hours required for graduation are 132 and 1,980 hours respectively. The curriculum unfolds as follows: Year one introduces core Economics and Data Science topics alongside one University Common Course. Year two delves into intermediate concepts, requiring completion of all core courses. Year three advances into specialized topics, mandating all core courses and an 8-week industrial attachment post-semester six. The final year focuses on skill transferability at an advanced level, with all core courses and a project completion requirement. Courses are drawn from Economics (50%) and Data Science (50%).
